Mark J. Gendreau, CFP ® was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Plimoth Investment Advisors in 2026. Mark overseeshe firm’s strategic direction, investment philosophy, client service initiatives, and long-term growth, while continuing to uphold Plimoth’s commitment to delivering exceptional investment advisory and trust services throughout the region.
Gendreau was named Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Plimoth Investment Advisors in 2025. In that role, he oversaw investment strategy, asset allocation, and the firm’s team of Investment Officers while actively managing client portfolios. Prior to that appointment, he served as First Vice President, Investment Officer, and Director of Research, following a series of investment research, portfolio management, and trading roles after joining Plimoth in 2009.
Before beginning his investment management career at Plimoth, Gendreau served as a Credit Analyst for BayCoast Bank.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. He has also received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth. Mark holds the CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc.
Mark is a strong community advocate and was awarded the John F. Brayton Jr. Memorial Community Service Award by the Bristol County Chamber of Commerce in 2016. Mark currently serves as President of the Fall River Historical Society, President of Catholic Charities and member of the FACE Scholarship Committee, on the Foundation Board of the Argosy Charter School, YMCA of Fall River Board of Advisors and was Past President of the Lions Club of Fall River.
Mark and his wife Crystal, have two daughters and a son who keep them busy. They currently live in Mattapoisett with their rescued Vizsla named Lucy. When Mark has free time, he loves to golf, follow his favorite sports teams, and is an avid movie buff.
