Louis E. Sousa joined Plimoth Investment Advisors in 2016 as the Chief Investment
Officer where he oversees the investment management process and the firm’s asset
allocation strategies. He works closely with the team of Investment Officers to keep
clients informed of important economic developments and financial market dynamics
while focusing on achieving their unique investment objectives.

Lou is an experienced portfolio manager having spent over 25 years in the investment
industry. He spent eight years at Scudder Investments where he became a Vice
President of the firm working with various types of institutional and retail clients
primarily on multi-strategy asset allocation portfolios. He was a founding member
of the investment office at Wellesley College in 2002 where he spent 10 years as a
member of the team managing the College endowment. He later went on to manage
marketable equities and hedge fund strategies for Williams College.

Lou earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Roger Williams University in Business
Administration with minors in Finance and Economics. He holds the Chartered
Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and
Boston Security Analysts Society. He also completed a Senior Executive Investment
Management program through Harvard Business School Executive Education.

Lou is a member of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of
Southeastern Massachusetts where he serves as Board Treasurer, Chair of the Finance
Committee and member of the Investment Committee. He also serves on the
Investment Committee of the Diocese of Fall River.

Lou grew up in nearby Bristol, RI. He has two teenage children who keep him busy
outside of the office with various activities. In his spare time he enjoys trying to keep
up on walks with the family Yorkie
